Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Flux & Solid Core Welders or Mig Welders to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role involves working on various construction and manufacturing projects, ensuring high-quality standards in welding and assembly processes.

Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications to determine the layout, dimensions, and welding requirements.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together using a variety of tools, including calipers, squares, and rulers.
• Use hand and power tools like saws, grinders, and cutting torches to cut, trim, and shape metal parts.
• Set up and operate machinery to support fabrication, such as automated punches and shears.
• Perform tack-welding, bolting, and clamping to secure parts in position for final welding.
• Inspect finished products for conformance to quality standards and specifications, chipping or grinding off excess weld, slag, or spatter as needed.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, etc.
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welders, to join metal parts in various positions (e.g., flat, vertical, and overhead).

  Skills

  • Experience in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and other welding techniques.
  • Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication tools.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.

Experience:

• Welder/fitter: 2 years (Required)
• MIG welding: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Welding Certification (Preferred)

Pay- $18- $23 per hour
