Welder Helper – 2nd Shift
Location: Decatur, AL Pay: $20.00 per hour Shift: Monday–Friday | 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Are you looking to start a career in welding and manufacturing? We're looking for motivated, dependable individuals to join our team as Welder Helpers. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced welders, develop valuable trade skills, and grow within a stable manufacturing environment.
No previous welding experience is required—just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude!
What You'll Do
As a Welder Helper, you'll support our welding team by:
Assisting welders with the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of metal products and equipment.
Preparing welding materials, tools, and equipment before each job.
Cleaning and maintaining welding equipment and keeping the work area organized and safe.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Assisting with the layout, fitting, and assembly of metal components.
Handling and moving materials as needed.
Following all safety procedures and quality standards.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Lead Welder.

High school diploma, GED, vocational training, or shop class experience is a plus—but not required.
Physical Requirements
This position requires applicants to:
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
Frequently bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
Safely operate hand and power tools.
