Under limited supervision, welds metal components together with brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, plant equipment, motors, and generators and performs manual and/or automated welding using resistance, electrical arc and open flame welding in natural or artificial atmosphere on all materials by performing the following duties. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.
