Job Description

Mecca Talent is hiring experienced MIG Welders and Fabricators for a growing industrial manufacturing operation in Canton, Ohio.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled welders who enjoy hands-on fabrication, working from blueprints, and building large-scale industrial equipment.

Our client is an established manufacturer specializing in custom-engineered electrical power distribution systems, generator enclosures, and heavy-duty metal fabrications used in data centers, power generation facilities, and other industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel, sheet metal, and structural components used in industrial enclosures and fabricated assemblies.

• Fit, align, and weld components according to blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing specifications.

• Fabricate and assemble metal frames, panels, supports, and structural components.

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, measurements, and fabrication drawings.

• Use grinders, cutting tools, clamps, fixtures, and other fabrication equipment.

• Measure and inspect completed welds to ensure proper fit, alignment, and quality.

• Perform tack welding, finish welding, and general metal fabrication.

• Identify and correct welding defects or fabrication issues.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Work closely with production and quality teams to meet manufacturing deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and fabrication drawings.

• Experience using tape measures, squares, and other measuring instruments.

• Familiarity with welding steel and fabricated metal assemblies.

• Ability to produce consistent, quality welds.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

• Willingness to complete a hands-on welding assessment.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with any of the following backgrounds are encouraged to apply:

• MIG / GMAW welding

• Structural steel fabrication

• Sheet metal fabrication

• Generator or electrical enclosure manufacturing

• Industrial equipment manufacturing

• Heavy fabrication and assembly

• Welding large metal frames, panels, or housings

• TIG welding or aluminum welding experience

Experience welding generator enclosures is a plus, but not required. Welders from other manufacturing and fabrication backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
