Schedule: - Days: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Overtime may be offered after training, including occasional Saturdays or earlier start times.
Job SummaryPenmac Staffing is seeking Welders in Springfield, MO. We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to fit, fabricate, weld, and assemble metal components according to blueprints, diagrams, and production specifications. The ideal candidate has TIG welding experience, including stainless steel, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Fit, fabricate, tack weld, and weld metal parts and components according to production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Perform TIG welding, including stainless steel, and use GMAW, FCAW, and/or GTAW processes as required.
- Operate press brakes, punch brakes, and other metal fabrication equipment.
- Identify serviceable and non-serviceable parts during assembly.
- Follow established welding procedures, quality standards, and production guidelines.
- Safely operate power tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Use calibrated gauges, measuring instruments, and manual or powered torque devices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience- Proven TIG welding skills, including stainless steel; experience with GMAW, FCAW, and/or GTAW.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions.
- Knowledge of fabrication methods, welding practices, and shop measuring devices.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and basic mathematical skills.
- Effective communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Education and Experience- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One to two years of related welding, fabrication, or manufacturing experience.
Physical Requirements- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and twist throughout the shift
- Strong finger dexterity for detailed work
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
