Wide Web Flexo Press Operator

DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY!

**Hours: **Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Pay: up to $32.00/HR

Duties:

• Set up and operate high-speed PCMC Central Impression (CI) Flexographic Printing Presses to produce flexible packaging products.
• Mount printing plates, install anilox rolls, and thread wide web substrates through the press.
• Perform press setup, makeready, changeovers, and job transitions while minimizing downtime and material waste.
• Operate presses at optimal production speeds while monitoring web tension, ink viscosity, impression settings, registration, and drying systems.
• Adjust press settings to maintain print quality, color consistency, registration accuracy, and coating performance.
• Inspect running webs continuously for print defects, color variations, registration issues, and other quality concerns.
• Conduct quality checks throughout production to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Work with solvent-based and water-based ink systems and maintain proper ink performance.
• Troubleshoot press, ink, substrate, and registration issues to maximize uptime and productivity.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and preventive maintenance on press equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records, quality documentation, and press reports.
• Follow all safety procedures, GMP requirements, and manufacturing standards.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet production goals and delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of Flexographic Printing Press experience required.
• Experience operating Wide Web Flexographic Presses preferred.
• Experience with PCMC Central Impression (CI) Presses highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of flexographic printing processes and flexible packaging manufacturing.
• Knowledge of solvent-based and water-based ink systems.
• Experience with web handling, tension control systems, registration systems, and automated press controls.
• Ability to mount printing plates, install anilox rolls, and perform press setups independently.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with color management, print quality, and process control.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, specifications, production orders, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
