Wire Operations Specialist

What is the Opportunity?

Responsible for processing domestic and international wire transfers in both USD and foreign currencies, ensuring completion by the daily deadline of 3:45 pm PST. Tasks include verifying transaction details, authenticating requests, and maintaining compliance with bank policies to ensure the integrity of fund transfers. Excellent customer service is upheld through a first-in, first-out processing approach.

Job Requirements

• Verify incoming and outgoing wire transactions in USD and foreign currencies.
• Correct errors in incoming USD payments.
• Monitor risk queues for overdrafts and status issues.
• Report any suspicious transactions to supervisors.
• Achieve minimum production standards.
• Adhere to all bank operational, credit policies, and regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Know Your Client protocols.
• Complete all mandatory training.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Skills

• High School Diploma
• At least 6 months of experience in wire processing

Skills and Knowledge

• Comprehensive knowledge of wire processing functions.
• Strong understanding of bank systems, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to serve as a utility person and conduct investigations.
• Effective verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of risk conditions and ability to collaborate with Relationship Managers to communicate risks for decision-making.
