    Job Overview

The Women's Developer is responsible for managing the technical development of assigned women's apparel styles from design handoff through production readiness. This role serves as a key link between design intent and finished product, ensuring each style meets UNRL's expectations for fit, function, construction, quality, cost, and consistency.

Working closely with Design, Product Development, and external suppliers, the Women's Developer creates and maintains detailed technical packages, coordinates sample reviews, leads fit evaluations, and drives timely revisions throughout the development process. This individual takes ownership of technical accuracy, proactively addresses development challenges, and ensures products are fully validated and ready for a successful production handoff.

    Responsibilities
    • Own the development of assigned women's apparel styles from design handoff through production readiness, ensuring design intent is translated into technically sound, manufacturable products.
    • Create, update, and maintain comprehensive tech packs, including construction details, measurements, specifications, materials information, and clear supplier instructions.
    • Coordinate prototype and development samples, evaluate submissions against specifications, consolidate feedback, and manage revisions through final approval.
    • Lead and document fit reviews, evaluate garment fit, balance, and functionality, and communicate precise corrections to suppliers to achieve consistent fit standards.
    • Establish and maintain accurate points of measure, size specifications, and tolerances; confirm technical details remain current throughout development.
    • Partner with suppliers to review garment construction, finishing, material application, and manufacturing feasibility while preserving product quality and design intent.
    • Review product costing against established targets, identify potential cost drivers, and collaborate on solutions that balance quality, functionality, and commercial requirements.
    • Identify and proactively resolve potential fit, quality, construction, and production risks; escalate issues early and follow through on corrective actions.
    • Track sample status, development milestones, approvals, and critical deadlines; communicate progress and potential delays to internal teams and suppliers.
    • Validate final samples, specifications, fit comments, construction details, and required approvals before handing styles off to production, ensuring a complete and accurate transition.
