Position Summary

The Human Resources/Payroll Services Work Study will provide general office and customer service support to the Human Resources & Payroll Services office. Responsibilities include assisting with monthly reconciliations, organizing and filing documents, maintaining office records, and assisting employees and students who visit the office.

Essential Duties:

• Assist with monthly reconciliations (reviewing records and helping identify discrepancies)
• File, scan, copy, and organize documents
• Greet and provide friendly, professional customer service to walk-in traffic
• Answer basic questions and direct visitors to the appropriate staff member when needed
• Assist with general office tasks and special projects as assigned
• Handle confidential information appropriately and follow office procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Reliability and timeliness are required
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
• Friendly and professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new processes and ask questions when needed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling payroll and employee information
• Prefer a student working towards a degree in accounting, business, humans resources, or math.

This position is a part of the Federal work-study program, to qualify you must be a State Fair Community College student enrolled in the current semester and eligible for Financial Aid thorough the Federal Work-study program.

Employment will require a criminal background check at College expense. Preference is given to Missouri residents.
