Together, we will advance our way of life and protect the integrity of our environment every step of the way.

A Day in the Life

As a Lead Workday Analyst - Financials & Projects, you'll serve as the senior functional and technical authority responsible for owning the strategic roadmap, solution architecture, and continuous evolution of Workday Financials and Projects, with a focus on the Professional Services Automation (PSA) capabilities - Projects, Project Billing, and Customer Accounts. You will partner directly with senior business leaders and IT to shape how Workday capabilities support long-term organizational strategy, while mentoring and developing other members of the Workday team.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Workday Financials & Projects, this is a high-impact role for an experienced Workday professional who can operate as a solution architect, lead complex initiatives independently, influence senior stakeholders, and grow the capability of the broader team. The compensation range for this role is $160,000 - $185,000 USD in addition to an annual bonus, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. We welcome candidates based in both the United States and Canada; compensation for Canada-based hires will be aligned to the local market. The role can be based remotely, with a preference for candidates located near one of our locations in Irvine, CA; Denver, CO; Little Rock, AR; or Calgary, AB.

To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

Strategic Roadmap Ownership & Solution Architecture

  • Own and drive the strategic roadmap for Workday Projects (PSA) including Project Budgets, Billing, Invoicing and the Contract-to-Cash lifecycle, aligning system design decisions with long-term organizational goals

  • Serve as solution architect, designing end-to-end Workday configurations that scale across complex, cross-functional business processes

  • Lead product roadmap planning and backlog prioritization discussions with senior stakeholders, translating business strategy into technical direction and sequencing

  • Maintain deep, forward-looking knowledge of Workday release cycles and PSA-specific innovations, proactively shaping the enhancement pipeline

  • Serve as the escalation point for the most complex system issues, guiding root-cause analysis and long-term remediation strategy

  • Evaluate the downstream architectural impact of configuration changes across integrated modules and third-party systems

Team Leadership, Mentorship & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level Workday analysts, providing technical guidance and coaching

  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end - owning scope, workplans, and delivery

  • Represent Workday Financials & Projects in cross-departmental strategic planning, vendor management, and contract negotiation discussions

  • Own change management strategy for major releases; direct the development of training programs, SOPs, and documentation standards

Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership, shaping how Workday capabilities support broader organizational strategy

  • Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency, championing adoption of new Workday features and modules

  • Define and monitor success metrics for product adoption, system health, and end-user satisfaction, reporting outcomes to leadership

Your Expertise and Skills

These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • 8+ years of Workday functional experience, with deep, hands-on expertise across Financials, Projects, and PSA-related capabilities (Project Billing, Customer Accounts)

  • Demonstrated experience acting as a solution architect, designing scalable, end-to-end Workday configurations across complex business processes

  • Extensive expertise in the Workday security model, including advanced configuration and governance of security groups, domain policies, and business process security

  • Proven track record owning a strategic roadmap and driving executive-level recommendations for system evolution

  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects and managing vendor relationships at a strategic level

  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, or developing other analysts or team members

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and business stakeholders

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate backend system architecture, data mapping, and integration/microservice components

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and familiarity with project and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet)

  • Extensive experience with 3rd party and vendor relationship management

  • Proven track record driving operational business process transformation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday Certified in multiple areas, such as: Financials, Projects, Project Billing, Contracts to Cash

  • Workday Security certification or equivalent advanced security administration experience
