Well established mid-sized Workers' Compensation Applicant Law Firm located in west LA is seeking for an experienced Paralegal for immediate hire. Preference will be given to applicants with prior long term employment history. Salary commensurate with experience.
- Experience in a Worker's Comp Applicant Law Practice is preferred
- Experience in Merus is a plus
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is not required but is a plus
- Strong legal writing and research skills, and a strong work ethic
- Exceptional attention to details, excellent communication and organizational skills are required
- Assist with the drafting and review of legal documents
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes & conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
- Familiarity with legal research
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
- Strong research and investigative skills for conducting legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and articles
- Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
