About the Role:

You’ll represent employers, insurers, and TPAs in workers’ compensation defense matters. From handling claims and depositions to negotiating settlements and representing clients before the IWCC, you'll be trusted with meaningful casework and client interaction. There's also the opportunity to expand into personal injury defense, depending on your interests and experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Handle a full caseload of workers’ compensation defense matters
• Conduct depositions, draft pleadings and motions, and attend hearings
• Advise clients on risk exposure, case strategy, and resolution options
• Collaborate with a seasoned team of defense attorneys across the region
• Stay current with Illinois workers’ compensation law and best practices

What We’re Looking For:

Associate-Level Attorney:

• 2+ years of workers’ compensation or insurance defense experience
• Strong communication and litigation skills
• Salary: $90,000 – $120,000

Partner-Level Attorney:

• 6+ years of experience and a portable book is a plus (not required)
• Proven track record in managing complex cases and mentoring junior attorneys
• Salary: $120,000 – $145,000+

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois (Indiana license is a bonus)
• Comfortable with 2100 annual billable hours
• Organized, proactive, and client-focused
