About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Workers’ Compensation Lawyer to join our growing team in our Downtown Los Angeles office. This is a full-time, in-office position ideal for an attorney with at least 2 years of experience handling California workers’ compensation matters. The ideal candidate is confident managing a caseload independently and committed to providing exceptional client advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of California workers’ compensation defense or applicant matters from inception through resolution

  • Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials before the WCAB

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement documents

  • Evaluate claims for exposure and develop effective case strategies

  • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, claims adjusters, and medical providers

  • Negotiate settlements and attend lien conferences as needed

  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with all applicable deadlines


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience handling California workers’ compensation cases

  • Strong knowledge of WCAB procedures and California Labor Code

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills
