As the Engine's workforce development lead institution, York Technical College is responsible for helping the region anticipate how emerging technologies will change occupations, required skills, credentials, and talent needs. As Workforce Pathways and Program Development Manager, you will turn emerging industry needs into real opportunities for learners: new credentials, stackable pathways, work-based learning, career-exploration programs, and training that prepares people for careers in grid modernization and advanced energy.
What You Will Do
You will not just identify workforce gaps. You will build the programs that close them. Working with employers, educators, K-12 schools, workforce organizations, and community partners, you will:

You can listen to employers and technical experts, identify what learners need to know and do, and translate that information into a credible education or training solution. You are comfortable bringing different partners to the table, managing multiple projects, and maintaining both momentum and quality.

This is a grant-funded position contingent upon the continued availability of funding. Regular regional travel and occasional travel outside the region are required. Evening or weekend work may be necessary to support partner meetings, industry events, Engine activities, and reporting deadlines. Other duties may be assigned based on the operational needs of the Engine and the College.

Do you possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in education, curriculum and instruction, instructional design, business, organizational leadership, workforce education and development, or a related field?

Please describe your three or more years of experience in curriculum development, workforce training, academic program development, instructional design, apprenticeships, career pathways, or a related area. Using specific examples, address your experience with: (1) Translating employer or occupational requirements into education or training programs (2) Managing projects involving educators, employers, administrators, or external partners and (3) Applying project management, facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
