Job Details

What you’ll do

• Compare what’s been billed to the work that’s actually been performed, and find the gaps
• Track down unbilled work, missed milestones, and billing issues, and trace them back to the specific division and project
• Partner with project managers and operational leadership to fix the root cause, not just the symptom
• Design the reporting and dashboards that show where cash is tied up and who needs to act
• Build consistent processes across divisions and hold teams accountable to them
• Present clear findings and recommendations to executive leadership

The ideal candidate

• Knows what data matters and where it comes from, and can design a dashboard that tells the story
• Has worked with unbilled revenue, WIP, progress billing, or project-based billing
• Is comfortable challenging project managers and operations when the numbers don’t add up
• Improves processes rather than simply managing them
• Leads with influence and accountability rather than authority

Qualifications

• Experience in project accounting, billing operations, revenue operations, FP&A, or working capital
• Experience with unbilled revenue, WIP, or project-based billing
• Strong Excel skills; Power BI, Tableau, or SQL experience strongly preferred
• NetSuite experience is a plus
• Experience in construction, engineering, utility, infrastructure, telecom, or field services environments preferred
