Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the Peer Tutor/Coach work study position. This role involves serving as study leaders, sharing effective learning and study strategies with assigned students, and helping to clarify and reinforce course content, assignments, and material, with a commitment of up to 20 hours per week. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in office software, and a passion for supporting fellow students. Please note that you must be a TCC student with federal work study funds to be eligible for this position.
Minimum Qualifications
GPA Requirement: Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Good Academic and Disciplinary Standing: Must be in good academic standing and have no disciplinary actions on record.
Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Commitment to Peer Support: Genuine interest in helping other students succeed academically, socially, and personally.
Time Management Skills: Ability to balance academic responsibilities with the time commitment required for mentoring.
Knowledge of Campus Resources: Familiarity with college resources, services, and programs available to students.
Professionalism: Exhibit a high level of professionalism, including punctuality, responsibility, and ethical behavior.
Leadership Potential: Demonstrated leadership skills or potential, with experience in student organizations, volunteer work, or other leadership roles considered a plus.
