Wound Care Physician - Per Diem

Job Summary:

St. Joseph Healthcare, a proud member of Covenant Health, is seeking a Board-Certified Wound Management / Hyperbaric Medicine Physician to join our team in Bangor, Maine on a per diem basis. This is a unique, consultative specialty practice that combines medical and surgical expertise to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex wounds.
Position Highlights
• Monday-Friday schedule with no call or overnight requirements

• Approximately 35-40 combined patients per day, including 0-6 hyperbaric patients
• Typical hours of 8:00 AM-3:00 PM and/or 10:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Hospital-based practice with immediate access to ED, laboratory, imaging, and surgical services
• Experienced and collaborative nursing team with 245 years of combined experience
• Dedicated Clinical Nurse Manager, Operations Manager, and Patient Service Representatives

Qualifications
• Board certification in an appropriate specialty
• Wound care and debridement experience
• Strong procedural/surgical skills
• Dermatologic knowledge helpful
• Hyperbaric medicine experience preferred, or willingness to obtain training
• 40-hour Hyperbaric Medicine training program required
• Minimum three years of experience preferred for the Medical Director role
