What You'll Do
As our Radiologic Technologist, you will:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams using our PACS (Fusion One) imaging system.
- Ensure patients feel comfortable by explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Position patients accurately while following imaging protocols to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Adjust imaging techniques based on patient condition or physical limitations.
- Review clinical information with physicians and clinical staff prior to imaging.
- Evaluate image quality before submitting studies for interpretation.
- Accurately document imaging information within the EMR and PACS systems.
- Practice radiation safety and maintain the highest standards of patient protection.
- Assist patients with safe transfers and positioning during imaging procedures.
- Process patient image requests and coordinate imaging records as needed.
- Prepare and maintain imaging rooms and equipment.
- Sterilize equipment using the autoclave and help maintain clinical inventory and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Respond to urgent patient needs while effectively managing daily workflow.
- Maintain ARRT certification, Delaware licensure, and continuing education requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and other departments to provide outstanding patient care.
- Perform additional duties that support the success of the clinical team.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist
- Active Delaware Radiologic Technologist License
- Experience working with PACS imaging systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Commitment to providing outstanding patient care
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and assisting patients with positioning for imaging procedures. Candidates should be comfortable maneuvering imaging equipment while maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment.
