X-Ray Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused X-Ray Technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and assist physicians in accurately diagnosing medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation safety, and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as ordered by physicians.

• Position patients correctly to obtain clear and accurate images.

• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely.

• Follow radiation safety standards and use proper protective equipment.

• Verify patient information and explain procedures before imaging.

• Review images for quality and repeat examinations when necessary.

• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.

• Assist physicians and radiologists during specialized procedures when required.

• Follow infection control and workplace safety guidelines.

• Report equipment issues and ensure imaging rooms remain clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

• Valid state license or certification as required.

• ARRT certification preferred or required depending on the facility.

• Current BLS certification preferred.

• Knowledge of X-ray equipment, imaging techniques, and radiation safety.

• Strong communication and patient-care skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years of experience as an X-Ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist.

• Experience in hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, urgent care, or diagnostic facilities.

• Familiarity with digital radiography, PACS, and electronic medical records.
