Pay Range: $48.16 per hour 

Job Description:

  • Operates radiographic equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body, under the supervision of the Chief Technologist and/or Radiologist.
  • Evaluates imaging requisitions and confirms requisition with doctor’s order in patient chart.
  • Checks patient’s identify, as outlined by department manual, and instructs patient as to the procedure being performed to obtain their cooperation.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in conducting radiological exams by producing radiographs of good technical quality.
  • Ability to prioritize and identify those imaging requests, which require immediate response in the absence of the Chief Technologist.
  • Produces x-ray films.
  • Prepares and maintains records and files.

Requirements/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Formal Radiological Technology training from an accredited school.
  • Previous experience as a Radiological Technologist preferred.
  • Previous experience with PACS, RIS, EMR, CR,OR,ER,DRX, CT and Meditech preferred.
  • A valid NYS Radiological Technologist license required.
  • Registered through A.R.R.T.
