Pay: $39.33 - $45.93 per hour depending upon years of experience
Job Description:
Operates radiographic equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body, under the supervision of the Chief Technologist and/or Radiologist.
Evaluates imaging requisitions and confirms requisition with doctor's order in patient chart.
Checks patient's identify, as outlined by department manual, and instructs patient as to the procedure being performed to obtain their cooperation.
Demonstrates proficiency in conducting radiological exams by producing radiographs of good technical quality.
Ability to prioritize and identify those imaging requests, which require immediate response in the absence of the Chief Technologist.
Produces x-ray films.
Prepares and maintains records and files.
Requirements/Skills:
High School Diploma or GED
Formal Radiological Technology training from an accredited school.
Previous experience as a Radiological Technologist preferred.
Previous experience with PACS, RIS, EMR, CR,OR,ER,DRX, CT and Meditech preferred.
A valid NYS Radiological Technologist license required.
