Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM
Duration: 9 Weeks (Temp-to-Hire)

Job Overview
A leading healthcare facility in New York City is seeking a motivated X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist for a short-term travel assignment with potential for permanent placement. This role supports diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced clinical environment and is ideal for early-career technologists (0–2 years of experience) looking to grow their skills.
The selected candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with radiology standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and position patients for imaging examinations
- Operate radiologic equipment while maintaining image quality standards
- Apply radiation protection and shielding techniques for patient and staff safety
- Explain procedures clearly to patients and reduce anxiety during exams
- Review and process radiographs to ensure diagnostic quality
- Document imaging procedures and patient information accurately
- Perform routine equipment checks and assist with basic troubleshooting
- Maintain supply inventory and ensure readiness of imaging equipment
- Follow all infection control, safety, and departmental protocols
- Participate in ongoing training and continuing education requirements
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare teams
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
- 0–2 years of experience in X-Ray / Radiologic Technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Competency in performing diagnostic imaging procedures
Certifications & Licensure
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.) required
- ARRT Certification required
- English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing) required
Preferred Experience
- Prior outpatient or ambulatory imaging experience
- Exposure to high-volume diagnostic imaging settings
- Strong organizational and patient care skills
