Position Overview
A healthcare facility in New York, New York is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician for a contract assignment. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and provide high-quality radiologic services in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images under physician direction
Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures
Explain procedures clearly to reduce patient anxiety and ensure comfort
Adjust imaging equipment controls and exposure factors for optimal image quality
Follow radiation safety practices and utilize shielding techniques to minimize exposure
Maintain compliance with infection control and department safety standards
Process radiographic images and make quality adjustments as needed
Document patient care activities and maintain accurate department records
Assist with equipment maintenance and support departmental operations
Qualifications
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required
New York State Department of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.) required
ARRT Certification required
Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
MDNC-3221 experience preferred
Entry-level candidates accepted
