Wednesday-Saturday schedule
$24 / Hourly, paid weekly
Responsibilities:
- Operating a yard truck (terminal tractor) to move empty and loaded trailers within the yard.
- Positioning trailers at loading and unloading docks according to schedules.
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard trucks and trailers.
- Inspecting trailers for visible damage and reporting maintenance or safety issues.
- Communicating with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and dock personnel to coordinate trailer movements.
- Maintaining accurate records of trailer locations, movements, and inspections.
- Organizing the trailer yard to maximize space and improve efficiency.
- Ensuring trailers are properly secured before movement.
- Following all company safety policies and traffic regulations within the yard.
- Assisting with inventory or equipment tracking when required.
- Monitoring trailer availability and prioritizing movements based on operational needs.
- Keeping the work area clean and reporting hazards.
