Ginop Sales is seeking a full-time Yard Specialist for our Williamsburg, MI branch. This position is responsible for supporting daily yard operations, equipment organization, inspections, assembly, and basic mechanical support activities. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Primary ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Complete equipment traffic paperwork accurately and timelyPhotograph all equipment entering and leaving the facilityPerform visual inspections of equipment during check-in and check-outVerify operator manuals, safety equipment, and machine documentationOrganize and maintain the yard to ensure safe and efficient operationsMaintain the cleanliness and appearance of the facility exterior including mowing, weed whipping, and pulling weedsRead and interpret blueprints, manuals, and assembly instructionsCheck inventory and verify materials needed for assembly and installation projectsUse hand tools, power tools, and equipment to assemble products and equipment componentsAssist shop technicians with mechanical work, including inspections, pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), installation of parts, and equipment preparationConduct inspections during and after assembly to ensure quality and accuracyPossibility of making light deliveriesPerform quality assurance checks on completed products and equipmentSafely operate heavy equipment as requiredIncorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activitiesPerform other duties as assignedMaintain consistent, regular, and reliable attendance, including being ready for work at the designated start timeMust be willing to work Saturdays on a rotational basis

Strong customer service and relationship-building skillsKnowledge of construction and heavy equipmentExperience operating heavy equipment is requiredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions, and technical manualsExperience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipmentBasic mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with equipment maintenance and assemblyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and positive attitudeStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Outlook and basic computer applicationsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
Language Skills- Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills- Basic: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning Ability- Basic: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will reach with hands; Occasionally will stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell.Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds; Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds.Work Environment: Regularly will work near moving mechanical parts, exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
