Yard Truck Driver

Start your new career as a Yard Truck Driver with MAU at South Carolina Ports Authority in Mt. Pleasant, SC. As a Yard Truck Driver, you will operate yard truck and container handling equipment to support container yard, rail, and vessel operations by safely transporting materials throughout the port.

• $18.00 per hour
• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (hours may extend based on workload)

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid South Carolina drivers license
• Satisfactory driving record (no more than three infractions within the past five years)
• TWIC card required
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Ability to bend, climb two-story rail cars, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent attendance and reliability
• Ability to work a flexible schedule

What You'll Do as a Yard Truck Driver:

• Operate yard truck equipment to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas
• Inspect container handling equipment and report safety or maintenance concerns
• Develop and improve operating skills while working independently in a production environment
• Fuel equipment as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned
