Program: Youth Rugby Camp
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

About the Program

We are seeking 2 energetic and dependable Youth Rugby Coaches/Instructors to lead youth rugby camps for the City of Milpitas. Coaches will work with either the 7–9 age group or the 10–12 age group during week-long camp sessions focused on skill development, teamwork, confidence building, and having fun.

Participants will engage in exciting drills, games, and skill-building activities while developing their rugby techniques, understanding of the game, and sportsmanship in a positive and encouraging environment.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy coaching youth sports and helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead youth rugby camp activities for assigned age group
• Teach rugby fundamentals, rules, and safe playing techniques
• Organize and supervise drills, games, and skill-development activities
• Create a fun, positive, and engaging learning environment
• Encourage teamwork, confidence, leadership, and sportsmanship
• Ensure participant safety during all camp activities
• Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and participants
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of camp equipment and activities
• Help maintain attendance and daily camp structure


Qualifications

• Previous rugby playing or coaching experience preferred
• Experience working with youth athletes or children preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Positive attitude with the ability to motivate and encourage children
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to lead active group activities in an outdoor or gym setting
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (not required)
