Duration: 4 months contract Job Description:- We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to support the revenue accounting function across multiple business units. This contract position will be responsible for revenue recognition, month-end close activities, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, system testing, and revenue-related initiatives.
- The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on Zuora experience, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strict month-end deadlines.
Responsibilities:- Perform revenue accounting activities for multiple business units.
- Prepare and maintain revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with a focus on timely and accurate revenue reporting.
- Utilize Zuora Billing to support billing operations, revenue transactions, and accounting processes.
- Partner with business stakeholders to support new product offerings, pricing changes, and revenue recognition requirements.
- Participate in system testing and validation to ensure accurate accounting treatment of new products and enhancements.
- Investigate and resolve revenue accounting discrepancies and respond to business partner inquiries.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams on revenue-related projects and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable revenue recognition standards.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting, analyses, and special projects as assigned.
Experience:- 3+ years of revenue accounting experience, including month-end close and revenue recognition.
- Hands-on experience with Zuora Billing is REQUIRED.
- Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Strong understanding of revenue accounting and the end-to-end revenue cycle.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables (additional advanced functions are a plus).
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue and accounting-related issues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime during month-end close periods as needed.
