ul>Participates in the preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, 5S and equipment improvement teams; Completes work orders in a safe and appropriate manner; Maintains open communication with production technicians; Provides support to other maintenance technicians; Identifies and reports opportunities for improvement of PM’s and spare parts controls; Ability to fabricate, weld and run basic machine shop equipment; Works within an environment focused on the reduction of unplanned downtime; Applies lean manufacturing tools and principles in maintenance activities; Works within scheduling requirements; Performs highly diversified duties to install, monitor and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment to ensure reliability; Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service; Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines; Reads and interprets equipment manuals and schematics (electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic) and work orders to perform required maintenance and service; Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments; Documents spare parts usage; Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities; Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions; Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties; Detects faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision; Performs other required tasks as assigned. - High school diploma and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience;
- Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills;
- Familiar with manufacturing, safety and quality process concepts, practices, and procedures;
- Familiar with PLC programs and can read ladder logic;
- Understands schematics for electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
