Nursing RN / LPN CaregiverNursing RN / LPNColumbus, OHEssential Nursing Functions: • Uphold principles of dignity, respect, and person-centered care in all interactions with individuals • Provide clinical oversight to LPN/LVNs and other non-nursing staff as directed • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members • Conduct initial and ongoing nursing assessments • Administer medications and treatments per physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) orders and applicable regulations • Monitor and evaluate individuals for changes in health status and intervene accordingly • Delegate and oversee nursing tasks to unlicensed staff and other approved caregivers only when appropriate to scope, and only to those who have been properly trained with demonstrated competency • Ensure proper storage, handling, preparation, and labeling of medications • Maintain accurate medication inventory and immediately report any discrepancies • Provide health-related training to direct support staff, individuals, and caregivers • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care reviews, and service planning • Coordinate with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and other service agencies to ensure continuity of care • Respond immediately to emergencies and provide nursing assistance • Ensure a safe environment for individuals, staff, and others and immediately report safety concerns. • Valid driver’s license, with proof of auto insurance coverage • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Understanding of developmental and intellectual disabilities, health disparities, and person-centered care models • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills • Excellent interpersonal communication and team collaboration abilities • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, interdisciplinary team members, and supervisors, verbally and in writing.
