Education and Experience: BS or MS degree in engineering or computer science 12 years of hands on experience in hardware design, development and project management in medium to large global organization Experience with Server and Storage products is preferred Minimum of 4 years experience in a direct people management role is required Working knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, FPGA and Firmware engineering is required Minimum of 8 years experience with contract manufacturing of medium to high volume products Ability to lead trade technical discussions and make decisions regarding technical trade offs between various hardware design disciplines Experience with customer RFI/RFQ fulfillment desired. Proven track record in completing design engineering projects within cost, meeting schedules and delivering a quality product Strong interdisciplinary design knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical, regulatory, prototyping, validation, and test area Be able to implement an engineering strategy for a major business unit that balances operations support requirements with engineering development programs.
