Field Technicians perform a variety of tasks depending on the project and stage of construction, including: • Performing general manual labor on ecological restoration construction sites • Installing native plants, trees, shrubs, plugs, and other vegetation • Moving and placing soil, stone, logs, erosion-control materials, and other construction materials • Using shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment • Assisting with construction of living shorelines, stream restoration projects, stormwater facilities, wetlands, and other nature-based infrastructure • Installing erosion and sediment control measures • Loading, unloading, carrying, and organizing materials and equipment • Performing site cleanup and general maintenance • Assisting equipment operators and other members of the construction crew • Following instructions from foremen, project managers, and other supervisors • Following company and job-site safety requirements • Performing other field and construction duties as needed . Applicants should be prepared to work outside year-round in heat, cold, rain, mud, and other changing site conditions for approximately 50 hours per week, depending on project needs, weather, and construction schedules.
