These duties will include coordinating the setup and operation of the two new laboratories; managing laboratory equipment, inventory, access, scheduling, and safety procedures; supporting laboratory-intensive ECE and CEA courses; assisting faculty and students with instructional and capstone activities; and coordinating the use of specialized equipment for robotics, IoT, PCB design, prototyping, data analytics, AI/ML, and related applications. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering requests a one-year Advancement in Duty appointment for the Katy Laboratory Manager, effective January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027, to support the expansion of the ECE/Computer Engineering and Analytics activities at the University of Houston at Katy campus.
