Perform manual labor and excavation outdoors in a variety of weather conditions using tools such as shovels, picks, and rock bars; Assist with laying conduit for fiberoptic cable; Work around heavy equipment (excavators, hydrovacs, boring machines, etc.) and perform duties to support the Heavy Equipment Operators; Take directions from the site supervisor and team leads and efficiently execute work requested; Load materials and perform site set-up and clean-up; Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the job site; Follow all project policies and procedures in a safe, efficient, and effective manner; May need to safely and correctly direct multi-directional traffic with appropriate signage; Keep alert and aware of surroundings and working hazards, wearing hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, approved safety footwear, and seat belt. Push, pull, reach, and carry objects such as tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to or over 100 lbs; Climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects; Load and unload tools and equipment on trucks; Coordinate movement of eyes, hands, fingers, and feet; Most work is outdoors, subject to inclement weather.
