TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Vacuums, sweeps, mops and buffs corridors, stairs, stairwells, walls, furniture and equipment; Uses extension pole, ladder and scaffolds while cleaning walls, washing light fixtures, changing drapes or other activities; Shampoos and changes rugs when necessary; Cleans resident rooms when assigned requiring a high degree of cleanliness to minimize possible spread of infection; Gathers and disposes refuse as directed; Cleans public and resident-use bathrooms, scouring sinks, wet mopping floors, disinfecting toilet bowl, wiping down all surfaces and replenishing necessary supplies; Moves furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning tasks; Maintains supply rooms for housekeeping throughout the building; Uses a variety of manual and mechanical equipment.
