p>Ability to: Secure assigned areas of the department; identify and quickly respond to potential problems and conflict and defend self and others in combative situations; adjust to varying levels of crowds, noise levels, smoke and weather conditions; to lift, push and pull drop boxes and money carts; to assist sick or injured customers or team members; operates a variety of equipment to include hand radios, monitors, fire extinguishers, resuscitation equipment, recording devices, alarm key board, map computer, camera and monitor switching key board, video thermal printer, quad screen splitter, pan-tilt zoom video cameras, video monitors, two war radio, door access control panel and multi-switcher intercom panel; interpret and explain policies and procedures; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; interpret and apply federal, state and local policies, laws and regulations.
The Security Officer maintains security protection which includes money transactions, public relations, crowd control, performing command center functions, assisting guests, customers and team members as needed to maintain order; provides administrative support to the Security Supervisor; and performs related tasks within the area of assignment.
