Demonstrates skills in the following area including but not limited to: basic wound care skills, knowledge of advance wound care treatment modalities, lower extremity compression therapy, negative pressure wound therapy, ankle-brachial index screening; peripheral vascular screening, knowledge of indications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy, knowledge of use and application of total contact cast, knowledge and skill in ostomy care, knowledge and treatment of diabetic, arterial, venous, and pressure ulcers including post-operative and traumatic wounds. At Northbay Health, a Registered Nurse in the Center for Wound Care will provide safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care to our patients following Jean Watson's Theory of Caring, the Relationship Based Care, and the Northbay's professional nursing practice model.
