Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures accuracy of financial transactions by monitoring general ledger to ensure that transactions are properly recorded; recording and reviewing journal entries; overseeing reconciliations, and providing guidance on proper accounting treatment of transactions and issues, ensuring adequate supporting documentation is maintained. This position addresses tight deadlines and is responsible for a multitude of accounting activities including, but not limited to, general ledger maintenance, journal entry review, month and year end closes, financial and operational report review and issuance, variance analysis, payroll review and oversight, and audit assistance.
