Provides direct patient care covering the full scope of student health needs in a primary care setting, consisting of walk-in and appointment clinics; includes interviewing patients, diagnosing medical problems, prescribing treatment, counseling patients, conducting physical examinations, referring patients to specialists within and outside the SHC, ordering and interpreting X-Ray and lab tests, and performing related health care duties, and recording and completing case histories and reports. Under general supervision, the Family Medicine and Primary Care Physician provides direct patient care through walk-in and appointment clinics, diagnoses medical conditions, prescribes treatment, conducts physical examinations, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, performs minor procedures, provides referrals, and supports comprehensive student healthcare services.
