Manage full-cycle general ledger activities to include journal entries, account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements; Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closes; Lead cost accounting for wine production, tracking and allocating costs for estate grapes, bulk wine, barrel aging, bottling and finished goods; calculate variances and overhead; Oversee inventory accounting and reconciliations for vineyard fruit, cellar stock and case goods, ensuring proper valuation under GAAP and TTB compliance; Analyze production costs, inventory reserves and variances; provide actionable reports to winemaking, vineyard, and leadership teams; Support budgeting, forecasting, pricing decisions and excise tax filings (federal and state); Collaborate with production, winemaking and vineyard teams, to refine costing processes and improve data accuracy in our sustainable, estate-driven operations; Assist with audits, process improvements and special projects; Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, dynamic, family-oriented work environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in cost accounting, within the wine industry; Proficiency in GL management, month-end close and financial reporting; Hands-on experience with production/inventory costing within the wine sector; Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel; Experience with Vintrace and Commerce 7, preferred; Familiarity with TTB regulations, excise taxes and winery-specific practices, preferred; Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; Astute time management, attention to detail, accuracy, analytical, organizational, planning, multi-tasking, problem-solving and follow-through skills; Ability to work effectively alone, within a collaborative team environment; Passion for the wine industry and environmental sustainability.
