Partner with Supply Chain leaders to ensure accurate supply chain costs are being tracked, recorded and analyzed to assist our supply chain leaders to manage to the most efficient supply chain possible. This role is pivotal in strengthening cost accounting processes, supporting the company’s ERP transition, managing fixed assets, and fostering team development.

Title: Cost Accounting, ManagerLocation Little Rock AR or Panama City, FLPosition Overview: The Senior Manager of Cost Accounting will oversee cost accounting operations across North America.  This role is pivotal in strengthening cost accounting processes, supporting the company’s ERP transition, managing fixed assets, and fostering team development. The ideal candidate will have a balance of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a desire to grow alongside the organization.Key Responsibilities:<ol><li>Leadership and Team Development</li><li><ul><li>Lead, mentor, and develop the Cost Accounting team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.</li><li>Build strong relationships across finance, production, operations, supply chain and engineering to ensure alignment with company goals.</li></ul></li><li>Cost Accounting Operations and Supply Chain</li><li><ul><li>Oversee and enhance cost accounting processes, including month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.</li><li>Partner with operational leaders to analyze and improve manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and profitability.</li><li>Partner with Supply Chain leaders to ensure accurate supply chain costs are being tracked, recorded and analyzed to assist our supply chain leaders to manage to the most efficient supply chain possible. Implement Total Delivered Cost (TDC) concepts to lower all costs in the supply chain.</li><li>Document and standardize cost accounting practices for consistency and efficiency.</li></ul></li><li>Fixed Asset Management</li><li><ul><li>Manage the accurate recording, depreciation, and reporting of fixed assets.</li><li>Ensure compliance with capitalization policies and coordinate with operations on asset tracking and utilization.</li><li>Work with F,P&A to perform post mortem performance review on major capital projects.</li></ul></li><li>ERP Implementation and System Transition</li><li><ul><li>Play a key role in the phased implementation of Infor SyteLine CSI, providing expertise to address challenges such as incomplete bills of materials and routings.</li><li>Ensure that cost accounting processes are successfully integrated into the new system.</li></ul></li><li>Cross-Functional Collaboration</li><li><ul><li>Lead company-wide initiatives such as the physical inventory process, working with diverse teams to ensure accuracy and operational success.</li><li>Act as a key partner to operational and supply chain teams to support decision-making with actionable insights.</li></ul></li><li>Strategic Contributions</li><li><ul><li>Develop forward-looking cost strategies to support company growth and profitability.</li><li>Proactively identify areas for improvement and innovation in cost accounting practices.</li></ul></li><li>Variance Analysis and Reporting</li><li><ul><li>Investigate and report on variances between actual and standard costs, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.</li><li>Create detailed operational cost reports to aid production and supply chain teams in decision-making.</li></ul></li><li>Internal Controls and Compliance</li><li><ul><li>Establish internal controls related to cost accounting and fixed asset processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and external regulations.</li></ul></li></ol>RequirementsRequired:<ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: </li><li><ul><li> Accounting </li><li> Finance </li><li> Business Administration (with accounting/finance concentration) </li></ul></li></ul><ul><li> CMA (Certified Management Accountant) preferred</li></ul><ul><li>5+ years of progressive cost accounting experience, with leadership responsibilities.  Qualifications & Requirements:
 EDUCATION<ul><li>Completion of an accredited education program for PAs</li></ul>EXPERIENCE<ul><li>Previous correctional/detention facility experience</li><li>Minimum two (2) years’ experience</li></ul>LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS<ul><li>Unrestricted current license, certification or registration in state of practice</li><li>Must maintain all certifications, educational requirements, licensing, etc.</li><li>Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration</li><li>Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS and PALS (where applicable) certification through AHA</li></ul> Key Responsibilities:
