Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years Med/Tele RN experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - General Med/Tele skillset - Stroke experience - Cardiac rhythm interpretation - Tracheostomy care - Peripheral IV starts - Chest tube management - Nasogastric tube placement - Drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc.) - PCA pump medication drip management, including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, intravenous fluids Description: This position is for a MedSurg/Telemetry Registered Nurse. Common diagnoses include COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, congestive heart failure exacerbation, falls with injuries, motor vehicle collisions with injuries, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, urinary tract infections, pneumothorax, gastrointestinal bleeds, and cerebrovascular accidents.
