In this role, the successful candidate performs all routine and complicated laboratory procedures including specimen processing and handling, testing of patient specimens, calculating and reporting of results, performance of quality control procedures, operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment. Understands and carries out immediately all procedures regarding products that are nonconforming, especially as pertaining to inspection at receipt, selection, preparation, dispensing or shipping such as unacceptable temperature monitors, blood product labeling discrepancies, special instruction not met, etc.
