Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED or EquivalentCertification in substance abuse counseling (CADC I, CADC II, CADC III, or similar credentials)Current, valid California Driver's with an acceptable driving record and reliable vehicleAble to transport members in your vehicleMinimum two (2) years experience as a substance abuse counselor and/or case manager, in a licensed and/or accredited substance abuse treatment facilityAble to work in a high tolerance Harm Reduction model with members who have multiple barriersComputer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and ExcelDetail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, and computer skillsAble to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with minimal supervisionAble to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification. On occasion walk or drive to different local sitesWill necessitate working in busy and loud environmentsWill be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odorMay need to bend, stoop, twist, and sit throughout the day.
