Perform tasks necessary to install, modify, maintain, repair and/or overhaul all air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment by troubleshooting malfunctioning or inoperative equipment; reading blueprints and schematics to determine operating sequences of equipment and wiring system; changing oil, belts and filters; monitoring oxygen and carbon dioxide levels; clean coils and drain lines. The Airport Maintenance Specialist performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, operation, and instruction of critical airport systems and equipment, including but not limited to HVAC, airport jet bridges, autoclave garbage sterilizer, car wash systems, fueling systems, and vacuum systems.
