Since 1917, Globe Machine has been a manufacturer of industrial machines, systems, and plants for advanced composites, building products, and pulp & paper.The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting and machine welding structural steel and aluminum materials.This is a first shift position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Use shop drawings, written, and verbal instructions to prepare, layout, and fit materials as specified.</li><li>Weld materials in all positions in accordance to shop drawings & standard welding practices.</li><li>Setup and regulate machine parameters such as gas, current, amperage, voltage, to produce correct bead size, and proper penetration.</li><li>Check and confirm all required dimensions using a tape measure, calipers, micrometers, or other inspection devices as required.</li><li>Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and manlifts.</li><li>Detect faulty processes and provide some input for their resolution.</li><li style="background:transparent">Be available to work overtime when needed to ensure deadlines are met.</li><li>Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li style="background:transparent">High school graduate or G.E.D. strongly preferred.</li><li style="background:transparent">Minimum of three years dual shield experience required.</li><li style="background:transparent">Minimum of two years close tolerance-fitting experience required.</li><li style="background:transparent">A.B.O certification strongly preferred.</li><li style="background:transparent">Proven ability to read and understand engineering drawings, manufacturing planning, weld symbols, and sketches required.</li><li style="background:transparent">Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure required.</li><li style="background:transparent">Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required.</li><li style="background:transparent">Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English required.</li><li style="background:transparent">Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.</li><li style="background:transparent">Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.</li></ul>
