Under the direction of a Physician or Lead Physician, the Nurse Practitioner or Physican Assistant collaborates with physicians to provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and evaluation of patients in an outpatient clinic setting; healthcare services provided include care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education and counseling of individuals and referral to other healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate.
