These team members work closely with our journeyman electricians\u2014seasoned experts who lead and mentor crews while completing complex projects.Our journeyman electricians partner with field foremen and site superintendents, who coordinate work, manage risks, and keep projects on track through planning, motivation, and communication. Our I&E, service, and maintenance teams ensure project performance by installing, testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating equipment. Across roles, we all champion safety\u2014empowering employees to lead as safety shareholders, uphold zero-injury expectations, and care for our crews, company, and families.Journeyman Responsibilities<ul><li>Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing conduit</li><li>Overseeing, or participating in, wire installations with conduit & cable tray</li><li>Connecting power to equipment</li><li>The ability to lead/develop up to 4 apprentice electricians</li><li>Knowledge of other construction trades</li><li>Ability to stand, walk ,and lift up to 100 lbs in construction work environment</li><li>Ability to climb, and maintain balance, on ladders and scaffolds while carrying tools</li><li>May be exposed to high and precarious places</li><li>Risk of electrical shock and outside weather conditions</li><li>Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required</li><li>Other duties may be assigned</li></ul>QualificationsEducation & Experience: We are looking for electricians with experience using, or the desire to learn, the latest BIM/VDC technologies for pre-planning and on-site coordination of all Interstates projects.<ul><li>Must have state issued journeyman electrician license (or equivalent)</li><li>Industrial electrical experience required.</li><li>Knowledge of BIM/VDC Technology preferred.</li></ul>Location/Travel: This position will require travel in/around South Bend, IN - up to/within a 200-mile radius. Applicants must be permanently located in/around the office location or be willing to permanently relocate. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Per diem and mileage stipends applicable per company policy.Work Schedule: Start times, break times and work hours vary per site and stage of our projects. Our employees work more than 40 hours per week but no more than 60, as part of our commitment to safety. Due to the type of construction, weekend work maybe required on occasion.Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, this role is often exposed to high/precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and all outside weather conditions. This role is expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Due to the nature of our work and our client base, this role may involve tasks in an environment exposed to dust. This is a travel-based position supporting projects at client facilities across multiple regions. Ideal applicants will have practical experience across industrial and commercial projects, thrive in fast-paced environments, and adapt smoothly to changing job-site demands.   In this role, you'll work side by side with experienced electricians, gaining hands on experience in all facets of electrical work—from installations and troubleshooting to repairs and maintenance. We’re seeking motivated individuals who are committed to continuous learning, ready to refine their skills, and prepared to take the next step toward becoming a qualified Journeyman Electrician.   Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Travel extensively (up to 75-100%) to industrial and commercial job sites nationwide to support new installations, upgrades, and maintenance of electrical systems related to bottling and canning lines </li><li>Assist licensed journeyman in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial and settings </li><li>Learn to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to understand electrical layouts and requirements </li><li>Assist in wiring, rewiring, and upgrading systems, including outlets, switches, fixtures, panels, circuit breakers and conduit </li><li>Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit accurately; assist in mounting and strapping conduit; help lift, position and fasten materials such as wiring, conduit and motors </li><li>Learn to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems </li><li>Assist in testing electrical systems for functionality and safety, including conducting voltage tests and inspections </li><li>Gather, maintain, and organize tools, supplies, equipment and parts for use at the work site </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials and by collecting and disposing of scrap and excess materials </li></ul>  Required Skills/Abilities:   <ul><li>High School diploma or GED (or equivalent); electrical apprenticeship program is strongly preferred </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of Industrial/ Commercial Electrical Experience preferred </li><li>Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation preferred </li><li>OSHA 10 certification  preferred </li><li>Demonstrates ability to use electrical and hand tools and an understanding of electrical drawings and blueprints </li><li>Follow safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment </li><li>Demonstrated employment stability; good attendance and punctuality required </li><li>Uses verbal and written skills effectively to ensure that information is successfully shared throughout the organization  </li><li>Follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance </li><li>Effective team player who adds complementary skills and contributes valuable ideas, opinions and feedback  </li></ul>  Work Requirements: <ul><li>Work is performed in industrial and commercial settings, including active production facilities, warehouses, and construction sites </li><li>May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and around high-speed machinery and moving parts </li><li>Requires flexibility for travel, weekend work, and varying shift schedules based on project needs across multiple regions </li><li>Work performed in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures, such as inside industrial facilities, refrigerated areas, outdoor sites, and seasonal climates </li><li>Ability to safely and effectively perform duties in extreme temperatures while adhering to all safety protocols</li></ul>
