CSI is looking to hire an analytical and people-oriented individual for the Apprentice Electrician position. You will be responsible for installing electrical for food, dairy, beverage, and pharmaceutical processing skids. This includes meeting with Engineering and Project Managers in assisting with change of scope and design of projects as well as assistance and support of shop crews. Apply now!Salary: $18 - $28 per hour, depending on experience.Required Skills:Education/Training: <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent, required</li><li>+1 or more years of recent, full-time, paid, journey-level experience in the electrical trade</li><li>Valid driver’s license</li><li>Computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and/or database</li></ul>Experience: <ul><li>Industrial electrical installation of conduit and wiring up to 480V 3-phase, including;
	<ul><li> PLC control system wiring -</li><li> Discrete, analog, AS-I, Devicenet and Profibus.</li><li> VFD’s and 480V 3-phase motors.</li><li>Installation of conduit and wiring in hazardous classified locations.</li></ul></li><li>Computer proficiency</li></ul>This position requires constant bending, kneeling, and stooping. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance. Visual acuity is required to perform work using close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Persons in this position may be exposed to temperature extremes both hot and cold, dust, and noise and will work with various power tools. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, such as gloves, safety glasses, harness, steel toe shoes, and other safety devices as requires by the customer.The normal work schedule for this position is 40 hours per week, and weekly overtime is not uncommon. Due to the nature of our production requirements, work hours may fluctuate up and down during the week. The potential for additional overtime hours on Saturday and/or Sunday may occasionally be requested or required. Overtime is not guaranteed. Essential Duties<ul><li>Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install various types of conduit.</li><li>Operate hand and power tools of all types (including but not limited to air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments).</li><li>May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris.</li><li>Clean, maintain, and service equipment and tools.</li><li>Record field wiring changes and modifications on blueprints for recording on master circuit diagrams.</li></ul> Education & Training<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent, required</li></ul> Skills & Experience<ul><li>Apprentice Level: 1- 4 years</li><li>Journeyman Level: 4+ years</li><li>Understanding and working knowledge of the NFPA 70 series, State, and local codes</li><li>Ability to:<ul><li>Understand, interpret and utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics</li><li>Locate and diagnoses electrical malfunctions using various test instruments</li><li>Operate a variety of power tools, shop equipment, and electrical testing instruments</li></ul></li><li>A current valid driver’s license is required</li></ul>This job description outlines the primary duties of the position, but is not intended to cover every task or responsibility.
