This role oversees HVAC equipment, building automation systems, clean room environmental controls, specialized utility systems, and facility improvement projects. Extensive experience working within established safety programs, including lockout/tagout procedures, fall protection, equipment safety, and related training requirements.

<h2>Position Overview</h2><p>The Facilities Technician V is responsible for supporting the operation, reliability, and maintenance of critical facility infrastructure across the campus. This role oversees HVAC equipment, building automation systems, clean room environmental controls, specialized utility systems, and facility improvement projects. The technician ensures all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards while supporting a high-tech manufacturing environment.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>HVAC and Environmental Systems</h3><ul><li>Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.</li><li>Support operation of climate control systems, including chillers, boilers, humidification and dehumidification equipment, and associated control software.</li><li>Monitor and maintain proper temperature, airflow, ventilation, and pressure relationships throughout campus buildings and clean rooms.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve issues involving HVAC controls and automation systems.</li></ul><h3>Facilities Infrastructure and Utilities</h3><ul><li>Maintain campus utility systems and facility infrastructure to ensure continuous operation.</li><li>Provide modifications and connection points for life-support and facility support systems.</li><li>Support and maintain specialized utilities, including:<ul><li>Deionized (D.I.) water systems</li><li>City and tempered water systems</li><li>High-purity HVAC filtration systems</li><li>Wastewater treatment (WWT) systems and drainage networks</li><li>Liquid nitrogen distribution systems</li><li>Clean dry air (CDA) systems</li><li>Process and house vacuum systems</li><li>Glycol cooling systems</li><li>Wet scrubber exhaust systems</li><li>Purafil exhaust systems</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Clean Room Support</h3><ul><li>Construct, modify, and maintain clean room structures and components, including:<ul><li>Unistrut framing systems</li><li>Dibond wall and panel systems</li><li>Gasketed ceiling grid systems</li><li>Clean room lighting</li><li>Fan Filter Units (FFUs)</li><li>ESD welded flooring systems</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Preventive Maintenance and Documentation</h3><ul><li>Perform routine preventive maintenance activities on critical facility and life-support systems according to established schedules.</li><li>Maintain accurate records, maintenance logs, and system documentation.</li><li>Utilize computerized maintenance and building management platforms, including Alerton, Finstack, Limble, and related software.</li><li>Update equipment histories, preventive maintenance schedules, and asset records.</li></ul><h3>General Facilities Support</h3><ul><li>Perform building maintenance activities involving plumbing, electrical, concrete, remodeling, cleaning, and landscaping work.</li><li>Assist with commercial construction and facility improvement projects.</li><li>Support snow removal and other seasonal facility operations.</li><li>Maintain company buildings, grounds, and related infrastructure.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, building codes, and operational standards.</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><h3>Education and Experience</h3><ul><li>Completion of a technical training program, apprenticeship, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial or industrial HVAC systems.</li><li>EPA certification required.</li><li>RMGA certification required.</li></ul><h2>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</h2><ul><li>Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and building automation technologies.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and facility management software platforms.</li><li>Experience using systems such as Alerton, Finstack, and other facility monitoring and management tools.</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities related to HVAC equipment and controls.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to safely operate shop tools, testing equipment, and maintenance instruments.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation and maintenance records.</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.</li><li>Extensive experience working within established safety programs, including lockout/tagout procedures, fall protection, equipment safety, and related training requirements.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal customers, contractors, and team members.</li></ul><br/><br/>
